Jim Roman

        Jim Roman is founder and CEO of Business Owners Institute, LLC® (BOI), an educational institute designed to teach business owners how to navigate through the nine stages of business while still preserving time for themselves, their families and their community. 
 
        Raised in his parents restaurant and seeing his Dad pass away at 62, he saw how his parents never had the time to enjoy life. He is now determined to show business owners how to achieve their goals without letting their businesses run their lives.
 
        Through BOI Jim has developed classes, courses and programs designed to help business owners increase revenues, go beyond capacity and achieve significant results regardless of their current stage of business. Jim has conducted over 2,000 seminars and training workshops and is author of more than 200 articles on business.
 
Jim built and sold several successful businesses including the Business Network International (BNI) Central Virginia Franchise, which he quickly built to over 1,600 members in under six years. He was inducted into the BNI Hall of Fame and recognized in Inside Business’ “Top 40 Professionals Under 40.” Jim is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the National Speakers Association and various area Chambers of Commerce.

Kathy Roman, co-founder of Business Owners Institute, LLC.® helps business professionals discover what truly motivates them in order to get exceptional results, whatever their goals.
With 14 years of experience as an insurance agent in the state of Virginia, Kathy Roman is no stranger to the ups and downs of business cycles. She feels that letting “the tyranny of the urgent” dictate priorities is one of the major road blocks to success. She is an excellent accountability partner for her clients as they move from reactionary problem solving to proactive strategic implementation.
She earned an associates degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Psychology. Her degrees were earned by taking night classes while working full time, as an insurance professional. This experience taught her how to forge through tough times, and how to create systems and processes for increased productivity. She also learned the importance of managing her own energy efficiently. Now, she motivates and inspires other business owners to accomplish any of the high goals they set for themselves.

Robin Reynolds joins Business Owners Institute as Director of Community Relations for the Richmond, Va market.  With over 20 years experience in business ownership, and applying a strong desire to help others enjoy in the fruits of business ownership, Robin is a welcomed addition to the BOI team. Prior to joining BOI, Robin was the owner of a highly successful nail salon in the Richmond area. She is credited with expanding the industry by having the first approved nail training school in the state of Virginia. She has extensive knowledge in training and education of those with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.  After 20 years of owning her own business Robin is dedicated to helping others fulfill on their dreams. 
 
After growing up on her family farm in Lancaster county Robin came to Richmond to attend business school and continued her education at the University of Richmond. She is a member of Networking of Enterprising Women (N.E.W.) and Business Networking International (BNI)-Synergy group.
